Hard to believe, but it's almost that time of year again—when we celebrate all things Baltimore and our August issue at the "Best of Baltimore" party at The Hippodrome Theatre. This year's event, on August 14 from 6-11 p.m., pays homage to our city's most famous gothic writer, Edgar Allan Poe.

Of course, there will also be amazing food from the city's top culinary spots, including Fleet Street Kitchen, Clementine, The Food Market, Wit & Wisdom, and The Oregon Grille, just to name a few. Drink sponsors include Smith & Forge Hard Cider, Blue Moon, Peroni, Prairie Vodka, and Cutty Sark Whiskey.

Guests can dance the night away to cover band Kristen and the Noise, beats from DJ Kopec, and local folk musician Matt Hutchinson (who will be upstairs in the VIP Lounge). Cap the night off with delicious desserts from our very own Charm City Cakes.

Tickets are still available for general admission and VIP guests (who get early admittance at 5:30 p.m., as well as a private lounge area and fun giveaways). A portion of the proceeds benefits The Family Tree and its mission of preventing child abuse and neglect.

As always, be sure to pick up the August "Best of Baltimore" issue when it hits newsstands Friday, July 25.

Wondering what to wear? Dress to impress in cocktail attire, or have fun with the Poe theme and break out your inner Edgar—we've put together a style gallery for inspiration.
