First, they got to record their own inspiring song about their love for Baltimore with some of the city's music elites at local radio station WTMD. Now, they have performed in front of a national audience on The Meredith Vieira Show.

Students from Believe in Music, an organization that promotes self expression and community engagement in young people through music and technology education, appeared on the show today to perform “Believe in Baltimore"—which we wrote about this summer—and talk to Vieira about their experiences. They wrote the song to promote togetherness and peace after the unrest following the death of Freddie Gray.

Make sure you watch the end of the performance when they get a special surprise. Trust us—it just might bring a tear to your eye.
