Rosebud Retro: The Rosebud Flea Market has been around since 2023, hosting more than 150 shopping events everywhere from Towson to College Park to the University of Delaware. Now, owner Trevor Brake is establishing a permanent homebase for locals to shop the market’s array of vintage goods.

“We found that the growth and evolution of our flea market is building a brick and mortar storefront for people to come and shop everyday,” Brake says.

Set to open in February 2026 (a grand opening date is still TBD), Rosebud Retro is taking over the former home of The Bun Shop on West Chesapeake Avenue in Towson. The store will feature 20-30 of Rosebud’s closest vendors, with 18 already booked. Each seller will have their own space—and thus tell their own story—in the shop, offering curated selections of high-quality, upscale vintage clothing, jewelry, handmade crafts, and more.

“There’s going to be a personality of every vendor that comes in there,” Brake says, adding that he wants to blend styles that reflect the diversity of the vintage scene, specifically in Baltimore. “That’s what makes the Rosebud Retro what it is.”

A full remodel will feature new display cases, shelving, vinyl walls, and, perhaps most importantly, a signature Rosebud Retro mirror for shoppers to try on and admire their finds. Domesticity Towson: Speaking of Towson, the area also recently gained a wonderland for those who love eccentric textiles. Headquartered in Lauraville since 2019, Domesticity offers a wide selection of fabrics made from natural fibers, plus linens, prints, patterns, and sewing supplies. The new Towson location off of East Joppa Road brings even more space for shopping, classes, and crafty conversations.

Stoked Vintage: A new storefront for this fan-favorite seller—a regular at Bmore Flea and the Baltimore Vintage Expo—officially debuted on West 29th Street in Remington last month. Stop in Thursdays through Sundays to browse racks of retro gems—from button-ups and bomber jackets to dresses and lots of denim.

Tall Grass: Though the familiar storefront with big bay windows on West Read Street in Mt. Vernon no longer houses Bottle of Bread (owner Morissa Rothman-Pierce announced that she’d be closing the shop for good last June), another vintage shop has moved in. Carrying the torch now is Tall Grass, which showcases an impressive selection of vintage, secondhand, and independent designers. Stop by on weekends to find your next statement accessory, pair of heels, or bold jacket for the season. Watch this space for more details.

Warby Parker: A brand new spectacles shop opened at The Village of Cross Keys earlier this month. Warby Parker, which also boasts locations in Harbor East, Towson, and Columbia, is now open with its full fleet of eyewear that’s known for being accessibly priced. (Frames start at $90.) In addition to in-store eye exams and eyeglass adjustments, this store also offers a mini print machine from viral printmaker Ana Inciardi. If you’re looking for a cool holiday gift, buy a print for a good cause. All proceeds support Warby Parker’s Pupils Project, which provides free glasses and eye exams for students in need in Baltimore and beyond.

Get Shredded Vintage: This all-out paradise for local vintage lovers has found a new home. After first opening in Charles Village, then relocating to Remington, owner Sarah Autrey is now next-door neighbors with Wishbone Reserve on Falls Road in Hampden. Autrey hand picks everything, curating seasonal collections of sets, shoes, tees, accessories, and more that span decades.

Milk & Ice Vintage: The hearts of Baltimore fashion lovers collectively broke when owners Angie Gavin and Kate Schultz announced that they’d be closing their beloved store in Lauraville, which they opened in 2022 after establishing a longtime presence in Hampden. But they’re not going out without a sendoff. From 6-10 p.m. on Nov. 22, the owners are inviting the community for an aptly themed funeral party to mourn the brand’s retail spirit.

“From solstice gatherings to First Fridays and holiday revels, our events have always carried their own magic,” reads a description for the closing celebration. “This final evening will be no exception—a requiem for what was, and a blessing for what’s to come.” As for what’s next, Gavin and Schultz will continue to boost Baltimore’s style scene with their work as co-founders of the bi-annual Baltimore Vintage Expo.

10/11: Gary J. Arthur Community Center Truck or Treat
In Howard County, this Cooksville community center is hosting a Truck or Treat (no that’s not a typo) that invites kids to grab candy from firetrucks, food trucks, tractors, excavators, mowers—you name it. This one fills up fast, so be sure to reserve your 75-minute timeslot to enjoy a “wheely fun” afternoon. 2400 Rte 97. Cooksville. 10 a.m.-3 p.m. $5 per child (free for 1 year and under) and $2 per adult. Limit of two adults per child.

10/18: Eastern Animal Hospital Trunk or Treat
For its fourth-annual celebration, Eastern Animal Hospital is inviting families and their four-legged friends for an evening filled with treats for humans and pets. Costumes are encouraged (yes, for animals, too!) and creativity will be rewarded for those with the most impressive trunk theme. All proceeds support the hospital’s CareFund to aid pets in need. 6575 Eastern Avenue. 4:30-6 p.m. $5 donation per family. 

10/18-19: Coppermine’s Trunk or Treat
Trunk or Treat is back at Coppermine Meadowbrook in Mt. Washington and at the club’s Canton fieldhouse. Bring the family to either location (Canton on Oct. 18 and Mt Washington on Oct. 19) for a safe and spooky Halloween celebration with decorated trunks and treats at every turn. Get ready for a thrilling time at the North Plaza Shopping Center in Parkville. Aside from admiring the cars and costumes, families will enjoy a DJ, a balloon artist, and the ultimate sweet treat, Kona Ice. Car participants must register by October 10 and will be provided with candy for the event. Prizes will be awarded to decorated cars for Best Overall, Most Creative, and Fan Favorite. Families in Towson can come and enjoy an afternoon filled with decorated trunks, candy, and costumes. Little ones can trick-or-treat from car to car and get to know their local officers, while adults who are interested can learn more about protecting and serving with BCPD. 10/25: Harley Davidson of Baltimore Trunk or Treat

10/30: Northeastern District Trunk or Treat
With festive costumes, candy galore, and fun for all ages, the Alameda Shopping Center’s Trunk or Treat is the perfect way to celebrate with neighbors. 10/30: Belvedere Square’s Annual Trick-or-Treat Through the Square
Belvedere Square is packed with little ghouls and goblins at this neighborhood-favorite event. Back on the night before Halloween this year, the event isn’t technically a Trunk or Treat, but it invites families to gather candy from the Square’s merchants, enter into a costume contest ($5 per entry), dance to beats by DJ Nick, and learn the famous “Thriller” dance with White Marsh Ballet Academy. 529 E. 10/31: Grace Presbyterian Church Trunk or Treat
Gather at this Greenspring Avenue community mainstay to start All Hallow’s Eve off with Trunk or Treat outside. Then head inside for dancing, games, basketball tournaments, and a costume fashion show. 2604 Banister Rd. 5-7 p.m. Free entry.

10/31: WalkAMileNOurShoes Inc. Trunk or Treat
The Baltimore chapter of nonprofit WalkAMileNOurShoes Inc—which supports unhoused and low-income families—is hosting its first-ever Trunk or Treat on Halloween night. Dress up the kids and head to Sharp-Leadenhall in South Baltimore to let them fill up their bags. There will also be free backpacks with school supplies for those in need while supplies last. 1044 Leadenhall St. October 31; 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Free entry.

10/31: Trick or Treat at Baltimore Peninsula
While this Baltimore Peninsula event isn’t a Trunk or Treat, we’d be remiss without including the free family fun. Spend Halloween night participating in arts and crafts, getting your face painted, shaking your bones in a DJ dance contest, catching some air in the moonbounce, climbing aboard a hayride around the neighborhood, entering into the costume contest, and, of course, gathering Halloween treats.
