Dr. Roberto Brandao is a fellowship-trained foot and ankle surgeon specializing in the treatment of foot and ankle disorders. His specialties include:

Prior to joining Orthopaedic Associates of Central Maryland in August 2018, Dr. Brandao completed his fellowship in forefoot, hindfoot, ankle reconstructive surgery and total ankle arthroplasty at the renowned Orthopedic Foot and Ankle Center in Columbia, Ohio under the direction of a highly regarded faculty of fellowship-trained foot and ankle surgeons.

Dr. Brandao completed his surgical residency at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center Mercy (UPMC) where he served as co-chief resident. He received his doctor of podiatric medicine (DPM) degree from the California School of Podiatric Medicine at Samuel Merritt University in Oakland, California and completed his undergraduate education at Michigan State University in East Lansing, Michigan.

Dr. Brandao is actively involved in research, authoring several peer-reviewed journal articles as well as lecturing at national and local meetings. He is an associate of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons.

Dr. Nicholas Grosso is a board certified orthopedic surgeon with more than 25 years of experience. He specializes in:

Dr. Grosso earned his medical degree from the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences in Bethesda, MD. He completed a transitional internship and orthopaedic residency at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, D.C.

Dr. Grosso is a veteran of the United States Army where he served as:

• Chief of Orthopaedics at Ireland Army Hospital in Fort Knox, Kentucky
• Chief of Orthopedics at Kimbrough Army Community Hospital in Fort Meade, MD
• Chief of Orthopaedics at : General Hospital in Seoul, South Korea
• Flight Surgeon for the Aviation Brigade, 24^th Infantry Division at Fort Stewart, Georgia

Dr. Grosso is the recipient of numerous honors and recognitions, including the Meritorious Service Medal; Davis Award, Department of Surgery from Walter Reed Medical Center; Kuwaiti Liberation Medal; National Service Defense Medal; Southwest Asia Defense Medal; Army Commendation Medal; Army Achievement Medal; Army Service Ribbon; Distinguished Military Graduate; Dean’s List; Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society; and ROTC scholarship.

Dr. Grosso is a member of the Society of Military Orthopaedic Surgeons, American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, and Maryland Orthopaedic Association. His orthopaedic research is published in peer-reviewed journals. Dr. Grosso is also president of The Centers for Advanced Orthopaedics and previous Chief of Orthopaedics at Howard County : General Hospital.
