Scott Adams, MD is a fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon who specializes in sports medicine. Dr. Adams’ orthopedic specialties include:

A native of Richmond, Virginia, Dr. Adams attended Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, where he earned both his bachelor’s degree with honors and his medical degree. He returned to Virginia for his orthopedic surgery internship and residency at Medical College of Virginia (VCU Health System), including serving as chief resident.

While a resident, Dr. Adams completed and published research that won both institutional and statewide awards. He then completed an orthopedic sports medicine fellowship at Duke University Medical Center. During his fellowship, he was one of a limited number of nationwide participants in the American Orthopedic Association’s Emerging Leaders Program.

Dr. Adams has extensive experience in the sports medicine field, having served as a team physician for the Duke University basketball teams, the football team, and the men’s and women’s soccer teams, as well as two high school football teams.

Additionally, Dr. Adams serves as a physician with the United States Soccer Federation and travels internationally with youth national teams, including providing medical coverage at the Under-20 Women’s World Cup in Japan.

Dr. Adams has written a book chapter on knee injuries, published articles on ACL injuries and treatment, and has given talks on various sport injuries, including a presentation to a worldwide FIFA (International Federation of Association Football) medical forum.

Dr. Adams is a member of the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine, American Association of Orthopaedic Surgeons, and the Arthroscopy Association of North America.

Michael DeMarco, DO is a physiatrist with over 15 years of experience. He holds the following board certifications:

• American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation
• American Board of Pain Medicine
• American Board of Electrodiagnostic Medicine

His areas of interest include:

• Diagnosis and treatment of neck and low back pain
• Diagnosis and treatment of : Generalized joint pains
• Diagnosis and treatment of any numbness, tingling, or weakness in the in the extremities
• Comprehensive care for patients with chronic pain

Dr. DeMarco hails from New Jersey, where he studied exercise science at Rutgers University. He earned his medical degree from the School of Osteopathic Medicine at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey in 2000. In addition to academic awards, he served as president of his class and president of the school.

After medical school, Dr. DeMarco served in the US Army. He completed his internship and residency at the prestigious Walter Reed Army Medical Center. While in the military, he was recognized for excellence in education for medical residents.

Dr. DeMarco is active in the American Association of Neuromuscular & Electrodiagnostic Medicine and American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians. He is chairperson of the Maintenance of Certification Committee of the American Board of Electrodiagnostic Medicine and served as an oral examiner. He has authored several articles on combat casualty care, and a book chapter on the care of peripheral nerve trauma.

When Dr. DeMarco is not doctoring, he enjoys outdoor activities with his wife and two children, as well as cooking and playing golf.

Scott Silverstein, MD is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon. He was honored to be named a 2012-2018 Top Doctor in : General Orthopedics and Sports Medicine by Baltimore Magazine.

He enjoys weight training and spending time with his wife and twins. He successfully climbed Mt. Kilimanjaro in 2000 and his feet are still sore!
