Total ENT Care, a full-service state-of-the-art ear, nose, and throat treatment facility with three locations, was founded by Dr. Han G. Sohn in 2014 after 13 years of private practice in the Baltimore area.

Dr. Sohn studied chemistry at UCLA and received his MD with honors from SUNY Downstate, where he also completed his internship and residency. A Top Doctor in Baltimore’s annual peer survey, he has conducted research into snoring and sleep apnea and was one of the first doctors in Baltimore to perform in-office balloon sinuplasty.

Dr. Sohn and his wife have three kids and too many animals. His hobbies include golf and watching his kids compete in lacrosse, volleyball and ninja warrior competitions. Dr. Sohn is proud to have himself qualified for the 2020 National Ninja League World Finals in the masters division.

Dr. Alpen Patel attended Tulane University and Baylor College of Medicine, where he obtained his MD with honors, and completed his residency at the University of Minnesota Hospital. Before joining Total ENT Care in 2019, he worked as faculty at the George Washington University and Emory University Departments of Otolaryngology and spent 10 years practicing at Mid-Atlantic Permanente Medical near Baltimore.

Dr. Patel and his wife have two sons and a dog. His interests include travel, music, and sports.

Services offered include in-office sinuplasty, hearing evaluation and hearing aids, including bone-anchored hearing aids, voice evaluations, treatments for dizziness and traditional ENT Care. Total ENT Care is proud to be one of six offices in Maryland offering the Inspire device as an alternative to CPAP for patients with Obstructive Sleep Apnea.
