CAMRYN HAWSE
Camryn founded Hawse Paws, a nonprofit that raises funds and collects donations for the Anne Arundel County Animal Shelter and the Anne Arundel ASPCA. To date, she’s raised more than $6,000 to help homeless pets and through strategic social media outreach, supports pet owners. Her internship in a veterinarian’s emergency room is part of her dream to become a veterinarian.
Her passion for risk-taking, excellence, and service are just as impressive. She is the only female wrestler at St. Mary’s High School and will compete nationally as part of the women’s national wrestling team for the state of Maryland. A National Honor Society member and Parvis scholar for her 4.0 GPA, she volunteers at Peartree Retirement Community and tutors at an elementary school.
“Humble and selfless, Camryn is also fearless, dedicated and always ready for a challenge, from being the only girl on the school wrestling team to founding her own nonprofit and interning with a veterinarian.”
