is the BMA’s most visible artwork. 

The now-iconic neon sculpture was
installed on the museum’s facade in 1984—it was a gift from the Leo
Castelli Gallery after a groundbreaking BMA survey of Nauman’s work. 

The
piece recently came down for much-needed restoration that will cost
approximately $120,000, and the BMA’s Friends of Modern and Contemporary
Art launched a fundraising effort. 

It includes a few public events, and
the first one, a cocktail party, takes place this Thursday evening at
artist Lat Naylor’s Bolton Hill home.
