Goel Vision opened its doors in 2019 specializing in advanced laser vision correction and advanced technology cataract surgery. Understanding that one size doesn’t fit all, he offers six different refractive procedures including laser-based procedures: LASIK, PRK and SMILE; and laser-assisted lens-based procedures: EVO ICL, Refractive Lens Exchange, and cataract surgery. Goel’s facility is the exclusive SMILE laser vision correction ZEISS Center of Excellence in the Greater Baltimore area. SMILE laser eye surgery allows patients to undergo the procedure and be back to normal activities the next day.

A graduate of an accelerated six-year B.A./M.D. program, Goel received his B.A. from Lehigh University and his M.D. from the Drexel University College of Medicine. He spent a year as a medicine intern at Medical College of Pennsylvania Hospital before completing his ophthalmology residency training at Greater Baltimore Medical Center. As the LASIK and SMILE Partner of the Baltimore Ravens, he offers all patients the same expertise that he would provide to these world-class professional athletes.

Goel is an active member of the Maryland Society of Eye Physicians and Surgeons, MedChi the Maryland State Medical Society, and the American Academy of Ophthalmology. He has consistently been recognized as a Baltimore magazine Top Doctor, and was named one of the best laser eye surgeons in America by Southwest: The Magazine. He keeps up with rapid advances in ophthalmology and emerging technologies by participating in international conferences several times per year.

A native of Maryland, Dr. Kalyani completed both his medical school and ophthalmology residency training at the University of Maryland, followed by a cornea fellowship at the Johns Hopkins Wilmer Eye Institute. Certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology, Dr. Kalyani performs LASIK and cataract surgery (including the latest “bladeless” technology for cataract surgery) and sees patients for a wide range of eye conditions, including dry eyes, as well as conducting diabetic eye exams.
