Proceeds from the event will better the organization’s Sharp Dressed Man foundation, which is dedicated to supporting and providing recycled clothing for local men returning to work.

During the show, you can expect to see original designs by Cat Reinheimer Collections, Christopher Schafer Clothier, Ella Moda Couture, and Stonewell Studio – Hand Dyed Silk, as well as ready-to-wear pieces from Babe. (a boutique), Brightside Boutique & Art Studio, For Rent Shoes, Gogo’s Retread Threads, and Shawn Christopher.

The event will be held at the Christopher Schafer Clothier studio (1400 Aliceanna St.) on Friday, October 24 from 7 to 10 p.m.

Stop by The Village of Cross Keys Fall Fashion Show to enjoy in-store events, as well as Fall Fashion Forecasts (mini runways shows) presented by participating vendors (including Chezelle, Jean Pool, Jones & Jones, Octavia II, The Pied Piper, Ruth Shaw, and The Store Ltd).

Proceeds from the event will benefit The House of Ruth Maryland. Representatives from the organization, devoted to preventing violence against women and children, will be at the event to collect donations for its One Great Thing fundraiser at Ruth’s Closet (Thursday, October 23 through Sunday, October 26). (Be sure to check back for more information regarding the fundraiser).

If you would like to donate, bring your pieces (clothing, accessories, etc.) to either Jones & Jones or Ruth Shaw on the day of the event, this Saturday, September 20, from 12 to 4 p.m.

If you can’t make it to the show, or you forget your one great thing, you can still drop off donations at Ruth’s Closet between now and Thursday, October 9.

The BFA Presents Trendsitions: SHOP & Soiree at City-Wide Retailers

The Baltimore Fashion Alliance will put on the first annual Trendsitions event this Saturday, September 20 from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. After a day of shopping the city-wide event—featuring in-store parties and discounts at shops in Downtown Baltimore, Federal Hill, Fells Point, Harbor East, and Mount Vernon—continue the fun at the after party!

The Charm City Circulator will provide easy transportation between locations.

Hampdenfest Fashion Show

Hampdenfest—the festival known for toilet bowl races, cook-offs, music performances, artists, and local merchants—is debuting a fashion show segment this year. Stop by the Avenue Stage (36th in front of Bank of America) at noon on Saturday, September 20 to see looks from various neighborhood boutiques.

SWS Presents Mini Fall Fashion Show & Mixer at Gallery 788

Baltimore-based fashion blog, Strangers with Style (which recently re-launched), will host its first fashion show at Hampden’s G788 next Wednesday, September 24. In addition to the show (which will feature models decked out in pieces from local boutiques), attendees will enjoy shopping, music (by local musician Al Rogers Jr.), food, and drink.

The event is free to attend, but a $5 donation is encouraged. All donations will benefit the gallery.

The Stella and Dot Collection has teamed up with Christopher Schafer Clothier, Handbags in the City, and Jean Pool to put on the charity fashion show. The catwalk will showcase models outfitted in the latest from these vendors.

Not only will attendees have the opportunity to shop vendors’ merchandise at the show, but also have access to special savings.

In addition to runway shows and shopping, tickets will include drink specials and complimentary hors d’oeuvres catered by Red Maple (930 N. Charles St.), where the event will be held on Wednesday, August 27 from 6 to 9 p.m.

Celebrate fashion and art at two events tonight: Super Thursday: In Full Bloom and RAW Baltimore Presents: Spectrum. 

In Full Bloom, held at The Walter’s Art Museum will feature a fashion show hosted by local fashion expert Lana Rae, founder and producer at Fashion Awards MD and owner and manager of KIS Agency. The runway, beginning around 7 p.m., will showcase looks from DC-based designers, Afua Sam of STUDIO D’MAXSI and Ean Williams of Corjor International, as well as more experimental fashions and costume designs from Naomi Davidoff.

But before the show begins, enjoy Designed for Flowers: Contemporary Japanese Ceramics, an exhibition featuring vases and celebrating some of the greatest Japanese ceramic artists. This exhibition is open to the public until May 11. Get a sneak peak here.

This Saturday, XIX: An Experimental Fashion Event will kick off this year’s MICA Fashion Week. The event will feature a runway show, fashion, costumes, puppetry and performing arts, showcasing the work of MICA students. Take a look at some pieces from this year’s collection.

Tickets are $7 at the MICA store (1200 W. Mt. Royal Ave. or online) and $10 at the door (but we suggest you don’t wait—these tickets are limited).

The festivities continue next weekend with UNMARKED: Annual Benefit Fashion Show. The event will feature students’ one-of-a-kind pieces, constructed from unique materials, that will represent them as designers.

Proceeds will benefit the Office of Diversity and Intercultural Development, as well as students involved in diversity programs.

Tickets are $15 for students and $20 for non-students at the MICA store (1200 W. Mt. Royal Ave. or online). And again, limited tickets will be sold at the door.

When: Friday, April 11 at 9 p.m. for the MICA community only (prices differ), and next Saturday, April 12 at 8 p.m. for the general public

Next weekend, be sure to stop by the sixth annual Charm City Fashion Show at Federal Hill’s Mother’s Grille. As the name suggests, the night will feature a fashion show, but also, visual art, and live music.

You’ll find looks from local shops including Brightside Boutique, Christopher Schafer Clothier, Debois Textiles, Babe. (a boutique), South Moon Under, 2live2love, Blanchard Designs, and Polina’s Privé Fine Lingerie.

This “Fashion Truck Rally” is free and open to the public, and some of the proceeds will benefit BARCS Baltimore Animal Rescue & Care Shelter.

Some proceeds will benefit Dress to Success Baltimore, which will also welcome new and lightly used women’s business apparel at the event. The neighborhood tradition features a fashion show stocked with the latest looks from local boutiques, including American Apparel, The Bridal Suite, Pandora’s Box Boutique, Phina’s for the Home, Seleh’s de Federal Hill, Under Armour, and Vanessa’s Vintage Treasures.

All night enjoy live music from The Real Geniuses, a
local party band who specializes in ’80s hits. Also, be sure to take
