WEST PERIODONTICS AND DENTAL IMPLANTS

Dr. West is distinguished as an expert periodontist in the Baltimore area. He was selected by his peers this year as one of Baltimore magazine’s “Top Dentists.” Dr. West privately owns and manages West Periodontics and Dental Implants. In 2025, he built a 4,000-square-foot office that contains eight state-of-the-art operatories that are fully digital to provide a customized experience for patients. West Periodontics and Dental Implants also offers sedation dentistry to ensure patient comfort.

Dr. West is board-certified in periodontology and dental implant surgery. He trained at the University of Maryland School of Dentistry for both his doctorate and residency in periodontics with a master’s degree in biomedical science. Following postgraduate training, he served in the United States Navy as a Lieutenant Commander. Dr. West is an active member of the American Academy of Periodontology and American Board of Periodontology. He also designs and instructs continuing education courses for other dentists.

Dr. West has advanced skills in cosmetic dental implant placement, alveolar ridge reconstruction with bone grafting, and periodontal plastic surgery. He is certified to use soft and hard tissue lasers for minimally invasive periodontal procedures, which can address severe infections around teeth and dental implants. Dr. West manages complex dental cases while improving the function and aesthetics of patients’ smiles with a specific focus on comfort and satisfaction.
