Habitat for Humanity of the Chesapeake
Since 1982, Habitat for Humanity of the Chesapeake has partnered with corporations, individuals, faith communities, businesses, foundations, and organizations to help more than 830 families and individuals become homeowners. We fulfill our mission by: Seeking to put God’s love into action, Habitat for Humanity brings people together to build homes, communities, and hope. This year marks a milestone as we celebrate 50 years of Habitat for Humanity and Habitat Chesapeake’s 45 years of impact.
Habitat Chesapeake creates affordable homeownership opportunities through homeowner education and zero-interest equivalent mortgages. Together with our partners, donors, contractors, and volunteers, we’re opening the door to more than 60 new and reconstructed homes planned across Baltimore City, Anne Arundel, Baltimore, and Howard counties.
Together, these partners open the door to greater opportunity through affordable homeownership. By partnering with Habitat Chesapeake, organizations and community leaders provide critical resources that bridge the affordability gap and make homeownership possible for more families and individuals across Central Maryland. Let’s open the door to greater stability, opportunity, and stronger futures through homeownership.
Our five Habitat Chesapeake ReStores sell donated furniture and building supplies, providing low-cost home improvements, reducing waste, and supporting Habitat’s mission of affordable homeownership. (Columbia, Dundalk, Glen Burnie, Halethorpe, Timonium.)
Join us in transforming Central Maryland by sponsoring a home, providing financial support, volunteering, donating items to a ReStore, offering professional construction services, and so much more. Together, let’s open the door to more homes and stronger communities.
