For more than 45 years, TurnAround has helped survivors of intimate partner violence, sexual violence, and human trafficking find safety, healing, and a path forward—strengthening families and communities across central Maryland.

As the designated rape crisis center for Baltimore City and Baltimore County, TurnAround provides survivor-centered education, advocacy, counseling, and empowerment services that help individuals and families move from crisis toward long-term stability.

Every donation directly supports trauma-informed programs for survivors, expanding access to safety planning, counseling, crisis response, advocacy, and recovery services that restore security, dignity, and connection.

As TurnAround approaches nearly five decades of service, these recent milestones demonstrate the organization’s leadership, responsiveness, and continued investment in survivor-centered care:
• Monarch Program: A Maryland-licensed therapeutic residential program providing 24/7 care in a safe, confidential setting for girls and young women ages 13 to 17 who have experienced human trafficking.
• Jacobi Center: Opened in October 2025, this resource center honors the memory of 4-year-old Jacobi Jones and provides support and services for survivors of domestic and sexual violence on Baltimore’s east side.
• Advocacy Day 2026 in Annapolis: On April 1, TurnAround kicked off Sexual Assault Awareness Month with the theme “Looking Back, Moving Forward.” Staff, volunteers, and advocates worked to challenge harmful norms, promote survivorcentered practices, and advocate for the testing of all rape kits and transparent communication with survivors throughout the process.
