The philosophy at the Julian Center for Comprehensive Dentistry is that dental health is part of overall health. In the same way the eyes are the window to the soul, Drs. Eugene Sambataro and Emily Meltzer believe the mouth is the window to a healthy body, mind, and spirit.
Patients at the Julian Center receive comprehensive and holistic treatment in a caring and compassionate environment. Dr. Sambataro believes strongly in biological dentistry, meaning a safe, non-toxic practice.
Founded in 1983, the comfortable, homey office in Ellicott City has 16 staff members who provide the highest quality care using state-of-the-art procedures and equipment. Dr. Sambataro, who has been in practice for 36 years, graduated with honors from the University of Maryland Dental School. His memberships include the International Academy of Oral Medicine and Toxicology and the Holistic Dental Association. He has volunteered his services in the Dominican Republic and at local churches. He is also active with the Zaching Against Cancer Foundation.
Dr. Meltzer, who has been in practice since 2007, attended the Temple University School of Dentistry and went on to a residency at Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia. She shares Dr. Sambataro’s belief that a healthy body starts with a healthy mouth. A member of the American Academy of Dentistry and Spear Education, Dr. Meltzer has provided care in the Dominican Republic and with Healthcare for the Homeless.
