2025 Excellence in Nursing

On Thursday, May 8, Baltimore magazine was proud to celebrate 158 of the region’s top nurses spanning 46 specialties for their extraordinary contributions to healthcare. After receiving nominations from peers, supervisors, and patients, honorees were selected by a panel of highly experienced nurse advisors in collaboration with Baltimore magazine editors.

The winning nurses, along with nearly 500 of their peers, friends, and family enjoyed a 3-course dinner and a welcome from Renee Calabrese Uhlman of Marriott Owings Mills Metro Centre, Tim Milan from Vytis Shield, Lynn Marie Verzino, DNP, Senior Vice President and Chief Nursing Officer of MedStar Health and Deborah J. Baker, Senior Vice President for Nursing and Vice President for Nursing & Patient Care Services of Johns Hopkins.

An awards presentation followed, and each nurse was presented a custom plaque by Allogram to celebrate their accomplishment.
