On September 17, Baltimore hosted the final Fit Club of 2020 at The Bar Method in Locust Point. Fitness experts lead two classes of eight and ten attendees to ensure safe social distancing and to abide by CDC guidelines. The class focused on using one’s own body weight, a ballet barre, and a few props to create a transformative, full-body workout. Guests took home magazines and resistance bands courtesy of the Orthopedic Associates of Central Maryland.
The event beneficiary, NAMI Metropolitan Baltimore, is a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the lives of those struggling with mental illness. NAMI offers family support, peer education, public education, and advocacy to aid in the battle against mental illness and the stigma surrounding these sicknesses.
