Black Tie & Tails Disco Gala: Benefiting Baltimore Humane Society
April 26, 2024
6:30–10:30 p.m.
Grand Lodge of Hunt Valley

You could say there were two levels of socializing going on at the Black Tie & Tails Disco Gala cocktail hour. Of course, there were some 300 human guests enjoying drinks, hors d’oeuvres, and mingling. But if you shifted your eyes a few feet down, you’d spot more than 50 canine carousers also enjoying drinks, hors d’oeuvres, and—most especially—that socializing.

If that wasn’t fun enough, many guests—of both species—dressed to fit this year’s disco theme. The evening continued with attendees settling into their tables in the ballroom, where they enjoyed dinner before getting down on the dance floor.

When dressing for a fancy shindig, you never want to clash with your date. That’s the rule of thumb that was followed by Erin Welsh and her five-month-old Cavapoo, Bella.
“We went with pink,” she said, shopping her closet and choosing this Adrianna Papell gown. “Because I was going with floral, I knew she had to wear a solid,” Welsh explained, snagging Bella’s pink poofy dress from Amazon.
While Bella forewent any further accessories, her therapist mom added some Gucci gold sandals, a Cartier love bracelet and rings, and stacked necklaces by Rachie Schnay and Lids & Sis.
Of course, if she wasn’t Welsh’s date, you could say Bella was actually the ultimate accessory.
