Chances are, if you turned out at FashionEasta, you were a fashionista.

This was the tenth year that Harbor East put on its fashion extravaganza right smack-dab in the middle of Aliceanna Street, offering food, drink, and a fabulous fashion show featuring pieces from neighborhood retailers. Naturally, many of those in attendance were those who fancy fashion, but some were also quick to assert that, to them, the fashion they were flaunting wasn’t anything extravagant. Rather, it’s their norm.

“To be honest, I always get dressed up, ” said Crystal Polk. “That’s the way I live life, ” confirmed Monica Yu.

And what about 6-year-old Cimone Sims? Was even she a fashionista?

“Most definitely,” responded her mother, Angela Sims, with a laugh.
