How did you meet?
We met at a college party. Madison came up to me and asked me to do a beer bong (classy), I said yes, and the rest is history.
Please describe the proposal.
Madison asked me last year if I could choose anywhere in the world to go where would I go? I couldn’t decide but we finally agreed we would go to Greece. Next thing I knew we were going to Greece in September.
The flight was long, but we flew into Athens without a hitch. After a missed flight to Mykonos we finally made it to our destination.
The night of the proposal we had reservations at a restaurant with the most perfect sunset
view. Madison got up to use the restroom for the fourth time since we had been at the restaurant, when the Greek music suddenly cut out and “Grow Old” by Florida Georgia Line began to play. That is OUR song and Madison was no- where to be found.
Finally, Madison appeared and asked me to join him for a dance. After the song ended, he got down on one knee and proposed to me in the most gorgeous setting with the most beautiful ring.
I was so speechless I forgot to even say yes. I waited 7 years for this moment and Madison made sure that every second of those 7 years was worth this moment.
What was the first thing you did after you got engaged?
We FaceTimed every single one of our family members and then strolled through Mykonos town and just soaked it all in.
Have you picked a date? Venue? Theme?
No date yet, but we are thinking Spring 2021. We want to have an outside wedding and are going for a Bohemian theme.
What is something you and your fiancé like to do together?
We honestly just love our quality time, whether it’s a date night or spending a Sunday watching football and relaxing at our house with our yellow lab, Boss.
Will you be taking a honeymoon? If so, where, and why did you pick that destination?
Yes, we aren’t sure where yet, but possibly Hawaii.
What is a fun fact about you as a couple?
We have moved a total of five times together.
