When Amanda K. Rodriguez, Esq. graduated from University of Baltimore School of Law, she was hired by the State’s Attorney Offices for Baltimore County, ending up handling one of the first cases of human trafficking in the state. Her passion for the subject was lit. She has gone on to hold numerous positions, including with the Governor’s Office of Crime Control and Prevention and as a Special Assistant United States Attorney. As the CEO of TurnAround, Inc.—Baltimore’s rape crisis center and comprehensive domestic violence and human trafficking service provider—Rodriguez oversees 24/7 crisis services, a hotline, long-term services for survivors, and prevention education. She currently holds leadership positions on the Maryland Human Trafficking Task Force and the board of Maryland Network Against Domestic Violence and has received numerous awards for her work on human trafficking. TurnAround has grown since Rodriguez joined in 2019 and uses a research-informed approach to adapt to and meet the needs of the community.
