Fello

At Fello, we champion the rights of people with disabilities and invest in what matters most: real opportunities, strong relationships, and inclusive, equitable communities. Our story began in 1961, when families united to fight for the rights and futures of their children with disabilities. They believed what we know today: Everyone deserves equal opportunities to live, work, and thrive in their community. Since then, Fello has grown into a dynamic organization, grounded in advocacy, services, and inclusion. We carry this legacy forward—as fellow neighbors, advocates, and allies united by a shared vision, building what people ask for: services, supports, and communities that make real lives possible. Today, Fello supports thousands of people with disabilities across Maryland through personalized services, self-directed services, trauma-informed behavioral health, and inclusive housing. We remove barriers, champion choice, and build inclusive communities where everyone can live life on their own terms. “We’re building a future where equity and inclusion are the norm—where housing and services go handin- hand, and people have the support they need to live life on their own terms,” says Jonathon Rondeau, president and CEO. “That’s what Fello is all about.” Our vision: a Maryland where people with disabilities live the lives they choose in communities that are equitable, accessible, and fully inclusive. Our work is about removing barriers, building trust, and ensuring that belonging is the starting point for everyone. In 2025, we unveiled a bold new name and brand that honors more than 60 years of legacy while embracing a future rooted in connection, belonging, and innovation. Though our name has changed, our promise remains the same: creating inclusive communities, shaped by the people who live in them. People can get involved with Fello by donating.
