Institute for Islamic, Christian, and Jewish Studies (ICJS)
“To dismantle religious bias and bigotry, the Institute for Islamic, Christian, and Jewish Studies builds learning communities where religious difference is a positive force for good.” —ICJS Mission Statement
We work to build a Baltimore where:
DIALOGUE REPLACES DIVISION.
Talking across difference is tough, but at ICJS we host conversations, cohort-based fellowships, workshops, and events for people to listen with patience, humility, curiosity, and courage.
FRIENDSHIP OVERCOMES FEAR.
Knowing someone different from you helps uncover common ground that can transform communities.
EDUCATION ERADICATES IGNORANCE.
Opportunities for learning in community are available for the general public, secondary teachers, religious leaders, chaplains, nonprofit and civic professionals, and others.
We invite the interfaith-curious and the interfaith-skeptic to join us.
