Junior Achievement of Central Maryland

Junior Achievement of Central Maryland (JA) inspires and prepares young people to succeed by giving them the skillset and mindset to build thriving communities. JA is bridging the gap between education and business through authentic and engaging experiential learning focused on financial literacy, entrepreneurship, and career readiness.

Notable programs supported by volunteers include:

• JA BizTown, where elementary school students run a simulated city

• JA Finance Park, where middle school students build real-world budgeting skills by managing a monthly income

• JA Company Program, which teaches teens and young adults practical skills to conceptualize, capitalize, and manage their own business venture

These programs empower our future generations to improve their quality of life, strengthen their families, and enrich communities.
