Alan Scharf DDS

Dr. Alan R. Scharf is excited to announce the next chapter of his career with the opening of his new, state-of-the-art dental office in Phoenix, Maryland, coming at the end of November.

Dr. Scharf earned his dental degree from the State University of New York at Buffalo School of Dentistry and completed a hospital residency at Baltimore City Hospitals, now Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center. He later earned a Fellowship from the Academy of General Dentistry, reflecting his dedication to advanced clinical excellence. Following extensive training, he achieved board certification, becoming a Diplomate of the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine— one of the highest recognitions in the field.

Dr. Scharf has been selected by his peers as one of Baltimore magazine’s Top Dentists for many years, including most recently in 2024 and 2025.
