AMY L. PETKOVSEK, ESQ.
Executive Director, [email protected]
Baltimore, MD 21211
Amy Petkovsek advocates for restoring power to neighborhoods and local communities through innovative legal assistance. She has led zealous civil legal advocacy efforts across Maryland for 19 years, using civil rights law, systemic legal efforts, and community organizing to effect change.
Petkovsek is currently leading the Community Law Center, a nonprofit law firm that will celebrate its 40th anniversary in 2026. She is undergoing major financial and logistical recovery efforts after a devastating fire to their longtime offices in Hampden. Petkovsek is active in the Maryland State Bar Association and the Bar Association for Baltimore City, and she serves on the boards of Moveable Feast, the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law Board of Visitors, and actively volunteers with St. Ignatius Catholic Church. She believes when used creatively and in community, the law can be a dynamic force for change.
