What started as one woman’s vision has grown into a mission that’s transformed the lives of hundreds of women in Baltimore. The Well’s Life and Workforce Development programs provide opportunities for survivors overcoming trauma—abuse, addiction, trafficking, exploitation, generational poverty, and more.

Mandy Memmel, founder and executive director of The Well states, “There is nothing more powerful than love and relationships. We believe that no woman should walk alone and that love can heal, and change is possible.” The Well journeys alongside women to help build personalized goals and teach skills needed to move toward longterm stability. Hope is found through our main initiatives—life and workforce development, safe residential housing, free childcare, and meaningful employment, along with outreach programs accessible to our surrounding community. This past year alone, 81 percent of women’s goals were achieved, 2,635 individuals were served across our programs, and more than 20,000 services were rendered—each rooted in care and connection.

Hon’s Honey, a purpose-driven business, employs survivors with fair wages and a healing work community. Handcrafted with love, every all-natural bath + body good and raw honey product represents dignity and freedom. This year, 23 women were employed, gaining job training, leadership skills, and confidence through dignified work. Hon’s Honey continues to grow year after year, expanding its reach through local markets, wholesale partners, online sales at honshoney.com and at the store, Hon’s Honey Marketplace.

Hon’s Honey is more than just honey. As one woman shared: “My job is my home and my community.” At the Hon’s Honey Marketplace, visitors can shop with purpose while sipping a cup of coffee that truly tastes like hope. Together, The Well + Hon’s Honey is lighting the way from surviving to thriving. Learn more by visiting drinkatthewell.org, calling 410-589-6670, or emailing [email protected].
