REUSABLE KIT. I bring my “reusable kit” everywhere I go. I have one kit in my car and one in my work bag. That way I never have to use single use coffee cups, plastic water bottles, plastic straws, or plastic forks. Once you get into the habit it’s really easy, and it makes a big impact!
VINTAGE BABY BLOCKS. These blocks were used to decorate the cake at my mom’s baby shower, and I also used them at my baby shower. I am saving them so that my daughter, Isabelle, can use them as well.
HAND WEIGHTS. Because I have a toddler and a busy schedule, I keep some hand weights in my living room so that I can fit in a quick 20-minute workout at any time.
CHAMPAGNE. There is something about Champagne that is so celebratory and makes me so happy. We also save all of our corks and store them in a giant glass vase. The vase is getting embarrassingly full.
POLAROID CAMERA. A Polaroid camera is really fun to take to parties, and we have a whole wall of Polaroid photos in our house.
DISSERTATION RESEARCH BOOK. I am on the dissertation phase of my PhD at Hopkins School of Public Health, so my qualitative research textbook will be going everywhere with me for the next year.
HANDKERCHIEF. My husband’s grandmother Margaret gave me this handkerchief as my “something old” on my wedding day. She is turning 90 soon and she has more energy than me.
APPLE WATCH. I love that my Apple watch not only tracks my workouts, but it also encourages me to go for walks, stand up when I’m working at my desk for hours, and take a deep breath.
INHALER. My inhaler is the one item that I really can’t live without. Shout out to my fellow asthmatics! It’s extra ironic that I have asthma because exercising is a huge part of my life.
MOMMY/DAUGHTER BOWS. I have to admit, I love to dress my daughter and me in matching outfits. I have also been really into hair accessories lately and have even thought about stealing her bows because they are so cute!
