Located in Baltimore’s Inner Harbor, the Downtown Sailing Center (DSC) offers youth ages 8–16 an unforgettable summer on the water. Campers of all skill levels learn to sail safely and confidently in protected waters stretching from Harbor East to Fort McHenry. With small instructor-to-camper ratios and US Sailing–certified staff, each sailor receives personalized instruction and hands-on experience. Programs progress from beginner basics to advanced skills like skippering a J/22 and mastering racing techniques. Camp runs daily from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., with shade and safety provided—life jackets are always worn, and no swimming experience is required. The DSC’s inclusive approach ensures accessibility for all through need-based scholarships. More than just a camp, the program builds confidence, teamwork, and lifelong memories on the water.
