Meals on Wheels of Central Maryland

Founded in 1960, our mission is to enable people to live independently at home by providing nutritious meals, personal contact, and support services, so that they may age in place with dignity.

For 60 years, Meals on Wheels of Central Maryland has been there when needed most, but never before have our services been more important. As a part of the Maryland emergency feeding program through the COVID-19 pandemic, we prepared, packaged, and delivered over 1.4 million meals—more than triple our regular production. Our COVID-19 response continues today, because the great demand continues today. For us, the question is not “if” we can do it, but is always “how” we will do it.

Our More than a meal™ approach distinguishes us. For homebound seniors and individuals living with disabilities throughout Central Maryland, we do more than deliver nutritious meals. We provide support and safety-net services that help sustain health, promote independence, maintain economic stability, and improve overall quality of life.
