Park Heights Renaissance
Park Heights Renaissance (PHR) has a mission of enhancing and maintaining a thriving and sustainable community for all Park Heights residents, business merchants, faith and community leaders, developers, and community-based partners. The nonprofit organization’s motto, “Bold New Heights,” represents a vision of achieving ever-advancing developments that will benefit the Park Heights community now and for generations to come.
Dedicated to empowering the 12 diverse neighborhoods of the Park Heights Master Plan community, PHR works to develop successful partnerships and resources that support the implementation of the Park Heights Master Plan (Maryland’s largest urban renewal project). This results-oriented plan aims to foster social and economic opportunities in the form of diverse and comprehensive housing strategies that meet the needs of all who live and wish to live in Park Heights, economic opportunities and advancement for all residents and businesses, and maintaining a healthy and safe environment for all children, youth, families, and visitors.
Through a holistic community development approach, they aim to improve quality of life by improving access to diverse and equitable housing, high-performing schools, safe and diverse public spaces, thriving retail businesses, employment opportunities, health care and healthy families, and a clean environment. Key initiatives of PHR include employment and training, housing stabilization and homeownership, commercial revitalization, community safety, and stakeholder engagement.
