American Cancer Society’s Taste for Life
June 23, 2024
2–6 p.m.
Baltimore Center Club
Baltimore’s Center Club has always been popular for special birthday celebrations, which may have been why Taste for Life—one of Baltimore’s popular summer soirees—was held at the venue for its 25th-annual event. About 225 folks enjoyed the views of Baltimore and beyond from the club’s 16th floor perch in the middle of downtown, while relishing the cool comfort of air-conditioning and summer cocktails.
Guests browsed a silent auction, enjoyed several buffets, and mingled with friends old and new. The gathering wasn’t just a swanky way to enjoy a summer Sunday afternoon, but it also raised some $165,000 for the American Cancer Society.

Stacey Lynn Munsell projected the perfect summer garden party vibe in the Cynthia Rowley café au lait frock she wore to Taste for Life. Even though the chiffon strapless featured a gigantic flower applique on the bodice, this little number was Munsell in her “Sunday conservative” mode.
“I’m normally much flashier,” said the Ink + Numbers co-founder.
Munsell also prides herself on finding fashionable looks at a bargain, which is why the dress was a rental. The accessories she found to add further zing to her look included rhinestone hoop earrings, a white handbag with pearl handle—both of which she nabbed at Francesca’s—and gold and clear vinyl wedges from ASOS.
“It’s amazing I don’t have anything from [thrift store] Uptown Cheapskate on,” she exclaimed, with a chuckle.
