Sunshine Oil: This is a blend of essential oils by Milk Makeup. It’s so refreshing to put on my face after a long day of makeup.
Sticky notes: Colleagues of mine know that I like to write my forecast on large Post-it notes. Because I do both radio and television, this makes my forecast easier to take along between hits.
Pop-Tarts: I love Pop-Tarts. It’s a very nostalgic snack that I typically bake from scratch. If I don’t bake my own, I head to Iron Rooster.
Peep-toe heels: Mentors always advised me to wear closed-toe shoes. I just think peep toes are girly yet
still sophisticated.
Stud earrings: I think stud earrings are classy and chic. When I’m at the weather wall, I move around so I don’t like dangling earrings to be a distraction.
Milk: I keep a bottle in the fridge at the
station. Former Raven Qadry Ismail calls me “Milk” because I would always have it in the weather center.
Midi-length dress: I prefer most of my dresses to come to my knees or past them. I’m not a fan of how my knees look on camera! I like smooth, clean lines at the weather wall.
Fancy rain boots: This is a storm-time ritual. When I’m tracking severe storms or active weather in the studio, I like to walk around in rain boots.
Lip moisturizer: I don’t leave home without lip moisturizer. I like using COOLA Liplux. It’s moisturizing, has SPF protection, and organic ingredients.
Jersey cotton sheets: I sleep like a queen when I climb into bed with these sheets.
