June 6: Charles Street Promenade
Charles St. between North Ave. and Saratoga St. 6-9 p.m. Prices vary.
During this annual pedestrian takeover of historic Charles Street from Saratoga to North Avenue, you’re eventually going to need to fuel up. In between sidewalk shopping, family-friendly activities, and open-house tours, plan to grab some grub at neighborhood fixtures like Sotto Sopra, Marie Louise Bistro, The Helmand, Never on Sunday, and Mick O’Shea’s. The street fest is also a great opportunity to try out something new, such as the comfort food at Blancos Kitchen and Kocktails or sweet treats at Day & Night Cereal Bar.

June 7: Wine on the Water Caribbean Festival
Middle Branch Park. 3301 Waterview Ave. 12-6 p.m. $44.52.
Head toward the tents at Middle Branch Park to spend your Sunday sipping vino against the backdrop of the glittering Patapsco. The price of admission includes tastings from the likes of Boordy Vineyards, Misfit Winery out of Beltsville, and Tree of Kings from Prince George’s County. No waterfront picnic would be complete without on-site food vendors, and the live music lineup (think: a mix of reggae, R&B, and neo-soul) will be sure to get groups up from their blankets and on their feet.
