Hyesook Chung is celebrating her fifth anniversary with the nonprofit Baltimore Civic Fund (BCF), Baltimore’s best-kept secret when it comes to fiscal sponsorships, program development, and support for youth initiatives.

From financing everyday services like pothole repair and snow cleanup, to larger projects like regional recycling efforts and bridging the digital divide, she has truly made a lasting impact, contributing to a 400-percent growth in BCF’s operating budget.

With a background in social work and philanthropy, Chung approaches her duties with a compassionate and people-centered mindset and has managed over 100 projects in a city filled with limitless potential.

“We’re impacting the way you live and the quality of life here in the city and I just think that’s huge,” she says. “I applaud any leader who just wants to improve the daily lives of all of us.”
