Sagamore Pendry Baltimore

Once again, the annual Philanthropik Holiday Toy Drive focused on glitz, glamour, and giving back. The ballroom of the Sagamore Pendry in Fells Point was set up with lounge seating and dramatic lighting to complement the growing pile of toys surrounding a Christmas tree—all 400 of which would go to the Ronald McDonald House of Maryland this year. Plenty of additional sparkle came courtesy the 350 guests decked out in dressy holiday attire. The inner glow was provided by signature cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, and lots of holiday spirit.

As event host, when committee member Loucia Hamilton was planning her glamorous getup, she decided to build it from the ground up. She started with her shoes—a pair of Amina Muaddi transparent pumps with crystal-covered ankle straps, or what she likes to call her “glass slippers.”
With that fab footwear in mind, the nonprofit and creative consultant shopped for a frock to match, eventually finding the silver-sequined mini with pink feather trim at Forever 21. Her closet offered the perfect topper: a pink shawl-collared blazer from Zara. “I’m in full Cinderella mode,” she said, with a laugh.
