Earth Day Events and Cleanups Happening Around Baltimore

Commit to making the community cleaner and greener by participating in these area activities.

From cleanups in city gathering spaces to journaling sessions, yoga classes, and local produce pop-ups, there are plenty of ways to get out there and show your appreciation for our extraordinary planet this Earth Day. To commemorate the holiday, which began as a widespread act of protest 53 years ago, plan to partake in one (or many) of the following events happening across the city.

4/22: Mr. Trash Wheel’s Earth Day Birthday
Perhaps the biggest sustainable soiree of the year, this ninth birthday bash for Mr. Trash Wheel overlaps perfectly with Earth Day. Head to Pierce’s Park in the Inner Harbor see our favorite trash-collecting waterwheel up close and personal while enjoying arts and crafts, free desserts, live performances by Fluid Movement, and sips of Peabody Heights’ Mr. Trash Wheel beer for the adults. Plus, the folks at EcoAdventures will be on site with live pythons and other friendly reptiles. 711 Eastern Ave. 3-6 p.m. $10-25.
